questions

what's the difference between .txt and .srt?

a .txt is just the words; an .srt adds timings so youtube, video editors and players can show them as subtitles.

how long does it take?

about as long as the video itself — up to 15 minutes per video.

how accurate is it?

very good on clear speech in widely spoken languages; weaker on noisy audio, fast speech over music, and some indian languages. for youtube videos, content to transcript uses youtube's own captions, which are often better.

what happens to my files?

they're deleted from the server automatically about an hour later, whether you downloaded the result or not. they're never shared or looked at.
